Book an Air Conditioning Service

It is recommended that you get your air conditioning serviced every two years to keep the system topped up with coolant and to ensure that the lubricant in the system is replaced to avoid the system getting rusty inside.

There are two types of coolant used in today’s air conditioning systems: R134A; and R1234YF. R134A tends to be used in cars up to about 2015 and R1234YF is used in more recent cars. We are able to service vehicles using either gas.

The servicing process consists of extracting the gas from the system and measuring how much is extracted. This gas is then cleaned, has the water removed and is replaced in the vehicle along with a lubricant to keep the system working and prevent rust. Each vehicle requires a specific amount of gas. If the cleaned gas is not sufficient it is topped up to ensure the vehicle leaves with the correct amount of gas and lubricant in the system.

We can also repair most air conditioning systems if the fault is more serious than low gas.

We are not able to work on air conditioning systems for fully electric vehicles at the moment.
